Rose - Ludlow Carving
The York Rose
One of the most magnificent Rose reproductions we have taken and reproduced from the Cathedral and Church Misericords. This Rose from St. Laurence’s in Ludlow represents the connection it had with the House of York. Originally carved in the 15 th Century c1433 -1470 when over this period major redevelopment took place at the Church and most of the Misericords were carved. This Rose is in truly remarkable condition, virtually as good if not better than the day it was originally carved. This reproduction captures the beautiful colour tones and fine detail applied by the original craftsmen that carved this rose in the Middle Ages.
Fitted with a D-ring for hanging and a product label, the size is approx 5-1/2 inches wide.
This one of our unique and exclusive hand crafted Medieval reproduction carvings. This is a cast replica produced from a mould taken directly from the original carving found within St. Luarance’s Church of Ludlow,
